The Beach Shack is situated close walking distance to most things in Iluka with the bowling club just across the road, the bay two streets away and the main street just around the corner. Now has NBN WiFi connected for guest use.

Clean, tidy and pleasant
Gavin C - 14th March 2024Great place for a short stay, or even a longer one. Ample parking in the front yard. Four decent bedrooms, two nicely renovated bathrooms. Kitchen is well equipped with most things you'll need. Beds are comfy. Cool photos on the walls. Front deck is great to sit at and chill. Huge backyard could benefit from a fire pit and seating area. And lounge and bedrooms could benefit with some ceiling fans. Some light switches are in odd locations.

Nice shack to spend a long weekend
Gavin C - 7th April 2023Heaps of available parking out the front. Nice and quiet (but then, where in Iluka isn't). Bedrooms are a good size and the beds are comfy. Huge backyard too. Would stay there again. It's a fun game to work out what light switch operates which light :) Could do with some ceiling fans - I wasn't a fan of the extension cords laying across the floor to power pedestal fans. We had an issue with pests - spiders in particular - but the real estate seemed very responsive to fixing that.

Lazy Management
davo - 26th April 2021Good location and vibe in this beach shack but let down by lazy management .Empty gas bottles for kitchen cooking so lost a Sat morning chasing managing agent and was told to move the barbecue bottle onto the recycle bin to reach kitchen gas fittings . Appears this may be a regular occurrence . Not good enough LJ Hooker Iluka

Caro - 6th October 2020Although this house is comfortable and enough room for a family it does need a bit of TLC. Surfaces and floors were clean and bathrooms lovely but the abundance of shells, nick nacks and drift wood in many buckets needed a really good dust and clean. We found cobwebs and dust all over them. No air con would make it very hot in summer and couldnt find the power point in main bedroom to plug in the rusting fan. It was in a great position, close to everything, just needs a good spring clean.

Great Location but a Hot Box in Summer
Lisa - 27th February 2019The Beach Shack has good amenities, is comfortable but with the afternoon sun blazing into main room and end bedroom, due to no cover on the back deck, no air con and only portable fans, the shack is a hot box in the afternoon. Front deck is lovely and gets the breeze, so perfect for an afternoon chill out. Double Garage is great, but if it rains, water pours straight through from the front - so don't leave anything on the floor.

great for a weekend escape
dilesa - 14th August 2016Perfect for a getaway. no views of river or harbour but central location, close to everything, lovely deck out front for winter afternoon. Almost opposite the bowling club so convenient to walk over for drinks and dinner. Well appointed 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so perfect for more than one couple and the kids!
Home away from home!
Susan - 11th May 2016We have been staying at the Beach Shack so often over the last few years that I have lost count. It is in the lovely old section of town, close to the river and all amenities. There is a huge deck out front with northerly aspect, perfect for Summer and the colder months. This house is great for families or just a couple. It has a wonderful beachy atmosphere and we always feel at home. I would live there if I could!
