Perfect location for a quiet getaway
Caroline G - 26th November 2024Ripples is perfectly located a short stroll to everything Iluka has to offer. Perfect spot to take out you kayak or sup as it’s about 50m to the launch site and boat ramp. Heaps of parking space and the deck it the perfect spot to sit back and catch the breeze while reading a book or rigging your fishing rod for a lazy fishing afternoon. Very comfortable with everything you need for your holiday!
A lovely place just needs some TLC and a new cleaner
Catalina W - 28th June 2023We loved the location, the renovated bathrooms and the outdoor area. But the indoor floors were dirty, some coffee cups, cutlery and frying pans had food scraps and were in the kitchen cupboards as if they were clean. I easily washed them with my own dishwashing liquid (non provided) This is the cleaner’s and the previous tenant’s fault but the rentals admin should check on these basics before a new arrival. Some chicken stock left in the pantry, eaten by rats and rat poo left next to it.

The only draw back is there is no air conditioning and it was extremely hot also it has a sewage smell upstairs after the pump well has been running. We will definitely come back to Iluka and stay in a holiday home again but will make sure it has aircon

Bekki - 12th December 2020Great place to go to relax and unwind with the kids Situated right next to the bay and playground with a short walk to shops Amazing back deck and yard full of beautiful birds and water dragons and gardens Spacious lounge room The bathroom was fabulous Kitchen and bedrooms are a little dated but otherwise work well Loved the art work and decore Cool funky furniture The brooms are old and need replacing and cleaning products are limited Vacuum was broken and didn't work unfortunately A nice simple clean coastal town with friendly locals Would definitely book again for a longer stay next time We only stayed 4 days but made magic memories to remember long after we left Thanks for having us
Great location, great outdoor area
Wendy - 12th November 2020The house is located right near the bottle shop, pharmacy, bakery and butcher. Just down the road from the IGA as well. Its nice and close to the river and park. There is a view of the river through the trees. You can walk or ride a push bike just about everywhere - no need to move the car once you've unpacked. The kitchen is a bit dated but has everything you need. There were lots of sand flies and mozzies so pack your aeroguard.

Margaret - 18th November 2018Very roomy, comfortable house for extended family holidays. Great location close to bay, cafes, clubs, hotel and boat ramps. Grandkids loved the books, toys and room to play. BBQ needs an upgrade but other than that a great place to unwind with a wine or two on the deck.

Workingholiday - 1st May 2018I booked this house as was doing some work in the area and decided to bring the family along for the school holidays. What a fantastic house! It was quiet, but so handy to everything! The family loved the playground and park across the road and swimming in the bay. The house was ideal for us all, fully equip with everthing we needed, and although close to everything was super quiet - only the birds outside to wake up to! No need to cook, the scenic walk along the bag to the pub at night was perfect. And maracas down by the ferry was a sensational weekend dinner treat !A fantastic house, will definitely stay here again for both work and pleasure!
Everything we wanted and more
Annette - 19th March 2018We went to Ripples this year for our yearly birthday getaway - and it was perfect! The house had everything we needed. It felt really homely and inviting but still really spacious and open. Love the new bathroom, and the huge front deck was our go to relax place!! The house is in such a great location, only a couple of steps to the bay for a swim and right near the shops (good coffee and bakery!). And of course the lovely walk along the waterfront walkway to the pub for dinner was just delightful (the steaks were amazing too!). Ripples was a perfect holiday getaway with everything we needed and more. We will be back again next year!

sammy - 28th November 2017house is in a perfect location, walk to pub(good food), bowls club(great Chinese), plenty of room, great little verandas off 2 rooms, outdoor area is fantastic but make sure have mossie coils, great little area on one of the verandas off the kids room to watch their own tele or games, 100m to boat ramp if you have a boat to enjoy,40 m to local bottle, chemist, takeaway and a great butchery, would deff stay there again

Susan - 5th October 2015The holiday house 'Ripples on the Bay' gives you a sense of peacefulness as you walk through the door. We felt totally at home within minutes. We have rarely sensed such happiness and harmony. Ripples is in an excellent location and has wonderful domestic facilities for children. The house is extensive and has a large, new porch at the front projecting towards the bay. A wonderful area for BBQ's and relaxation. Well done Ripples!
