Great little House
Siobhann K - 22nd November 2024I grew up in Iluka and Woombah and it was very important I find somewhere comfortable for my family. Although some of the kitchen utensils leave much to be desired, the house itself was fantastic. Three clean bedrooms, two bathrooms plus toilet in the laundry. The lounge, dining and rooms were all a great size and the water pressure was strong. Washing machine was great, I had no issues using the clothes line. Location is great, right across from IGA. Lounge needs update badly.

Desmond M - 14th February 2024Enjoyed the house and furnishings, but: There was no ironing board and our request for one went unanswered No laundry trolley necessitating putting basket on the ground or using a chair Toilet seat in the laundry was loose/not fitted tightly Foliage around the front entrance could do with pruning attention Driveway down to the carport is very badly eroded and needs attention Grounds in general could do with maintenance like grass-cutting and tidying Venetian blinds could do with a good cleaning

Gavin B - 22nd December 2023We've stayed at this house 7 or 8 times now, we love the house love the location and love Iluka. What is a little disappointing is that the price has increased alot over the last 5 years yet the the house has not changed a bit. A clothes dryer would be a great addition, ceiling fans in the bedrooms as the pedestool fans were covered in dust and rusty. WiFi would be handy as well for some people. We love staying here but when the price goes up so do the expectations. Thanks for having us again.

Patricia O - 27th March 2023We enjoyed our stay at Rhijac a comfortable older style house. The air conditioning was very welcome during a very hot (36°) week. The website photo is confusing as the house is right on the Lane, without the grounds portrayed. We appreciated two bathrooms and used two bedrooms. We didn’t seem to have a laundry key, so am not sure if it’s available. We hope to return!

Liam F - 7th November 2022Stayed in winter, and very spacious surprisingly. Staff at LJ Hooker very good and went out of their way to assist. Does definitely require a dryer, kitchen needs some minor repairs and new utensils ect ect in as dated. But would not hesitate again to stay. P.S did i mention it needs a dryer….

Peter H - 29th March 2022Central location, have stayed here a couple of times in the past years. It would be nice to see some of the kitchen appliances, glasses, plates, bbq and lounges to be be updated as they have aged . The weekly tariff has increased significantly in the past year by 40- 50 % so expectations have also increased. Iluka is a lovely spot for fishing, walking, riding your bike or just relaxing.

Could benefit from supplying towels, shampoo and conditioner and soap for guests - don’t forget to bring your own!

RonW - 29th February 2020Loved our recent stay at Rhijac, Cottage is well appointed and close to shops, water etc. We were slightly disappointed in the condition of the grounds, long grass, overgrown and needs a good cleanup..

PC91 - 9th October 2019Great place for a relaxing family holiday. Bigger than it looks, two bathrooms was handy, kitchen was large and well equipped. The garden shed was useful to store our bikes, and a large yard for the kids to play on. There was a good selection of novels and board games. Convenient central location near the water and IGA.

Lovely Little Holiday House
Buggie - 13th April 2019Rhijack is a lovely, well appointed holiday home in a fabulous location. A credit to the owners for the decor and layout of the property. All you need is there but could do with a BBQ on the back deck. 2 doors down from the IGA and IGA Liquor shop, service station almost at your doorstep. Within easy walking distance to the river and other shops. The only problem we found was that the matresses' were not suitable for us and the lounge needs either repair or replacement. Otherwise, our stay was terrific and we would recommend Rhijack to everyone.

A Comfy Hideaway

The back verandah was especially great for watching the local bird life that came to visit us each day! Handy to the shops and all that Iluka is known for..We all want to come back again that's for sure.

Lesa - 1st November 2017This house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The deck is great for relaxing. This house is bigger than it looks and I loved the location, shops just a short walk away. The river a five minute walk. Iluka itself is such a sleepy little town, the perfect place to get back to nature and relax. The beaches you need to drive to but they are amazing! Look forward to coming back one day soon.

Sally - 29th September 2014The house suited our needs very well. It was clean and well appointed. I really liked the verandah and the kitchen and bathrooms. The beds were comfortable which was a major plus.The teenagers were unhappy about the size of the TV. We would have liked some instructions on how to use the espresso machine. Planting some high shrubs along the back fence would help to improve privacy. All in all we were very happy with Rhijac and would stay there again.
