A Very Pleasant Stay
Paul W - 9th July 2024Our family stayed there for 10 night over the 2024 Queensland winter holidays and I would definitely stay there again. I like the old original look of the house but with the updated kitchen. Could use a power point in the front bedroom as this was inconvenient, but overall a very pleasant stay at Luka Land. Will book it again for sure!

Tony B - 21st September 2023We loved the location and the Beach House feel of the property. It needs a little love, but if you're after a cheaper option to stay in Iluka, this is the place. We would definitely book again.

Not worth the money
Daniel S - 22nd July 2022We have stayed here before and when the price was half what it is now, you let things slide. Our recent stay cost us $1000 for the week, the power kept tripping, being an electrician I went into the switch board which is non compliant to turn the power back on. The smoke alarms are also non compliant, hot water is not sufficient- one shower and it was cold. There are nails sticking out of the floor as you walk into one of the rooms where my wife hurt her foot plus more issues. Not pet friendly.
Hi Daniel, Just to clear up a few things for you and thank you for your feedback. I would have appreciated the opportunity to address any of the issues you encountered during your stay but you didn't bring them up with me during your stay. The smoke alarms are definitely compliant as per NSW STRA legislation. The power was tripping because of too much power was being drawn from 1 power board during your stay and a new power board has been provided. PETS ALLOWED * Please note: Whilst this is a pet friendly property, pets are to remain outside at all times. This property is not securely fenced, so you would need to tether your pet. You chose to ignore this rule that is clearly displayed when booking the house. Rod

Glen - 10th May 2021The place needs renovation/ updating, Too old, It’s definitely NOT pet friendly!!! They should tell when inquiring next to pet friendly that the place hasn’t got any fences around! How is that pet friendly???

Sharon - 26th August 2019I really enjoyed staying here, it was very clean, there was plenty of room for 3 people and great value. I guess if you want brand new furniture it's not the one to chose but if that's not something you care about then it's fine. Recommend people bring an extension cord if you're using phones and computers a lot for work etc. since I couldn't find a powerpoint in one of the bedrooms.

Lovely sunny verandah for winter mornings, but the vines could be cut back a bit. Close to the water, the co-op and the hotel for meals. We will be back next year.. recommend..

Faye - 13th January 2016We had a great time at Luka land, it is a lovely old house in a great area. Beds are great, cool breezes off the river, and terrific walks on the boardwalk. The garden needs some love and the vines on the verandah could do with a trim but all in all we had a fantastic time and hope to get back there soon.
