A charming, colourful and comfortable cottage sitting under the trees in the middle of 'old' Iluka. LBH is a small renovated cottage with flavours of earlier times. Seclusion and convenience are yours as it is close to the Clarence river, coffee shops & takeaways, art'n'craft shops and other amenities. Little beach house is privately situated on a quiet back lane, be charmed by the house, the trees and the bird song.
It has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, one single bed in the sleepout room and a double pull out sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen has been lovingly renovated to reflect the era of the house and has a cast iron sink and gas stove with a small deck accessed via French doors. The large bathroom has a cast iron bath with shower over, as well as laundry facilities. There is a delightful lounge area opening onto an outside patio with a gas BBQ; a dining area and sunny afternoon reading corner at the end of the enclosed veranda. Polished wooden floors throughout. There is a small back yard, fully enclosed so your children and/or small dogs can play safely.
Little beach house is situated only 150m to the river, within walking distance from the Iluka Sports Fields, tennis and netball courts, and Bowls Club, Charles street shops and slightly longer walk to Sedgers Reef Hotel; Fishermans Co-Op; ferry terminal and the rainforest walk.

Access to the property is only available via Charles Lane at the rear of the property.

(All blankets, doonas and pillows are supplied) -
Pets welcome inside and outside. Pet owners to take full responsibility for their animals. This includes picking up after them outside and using the vacuum cleaner provided inside. (If extra cleaning is required due to animal fur the cost will be passed on to you)

perfect beach stay
Anna M - 14th December 2024The Little Beach House was perfect for our first visit to Iluka - excellent location, lovely set-up and a beautiful house to stay in especially with our dog. We were travelling as a family of 2 adults, a 7 year old, and our kelpie-cross dog. I especially enjoyed reading about the history of the house and the area. The house had everything we needed and was very easy to walk to the town and along the river.

It was a charming place to stay with a comfortable bed, lovely retro furnishings, and a private backyard. I imagine it could get warm on hot days, although there is an overhead fan in the bedroom and 2 freestanding fans in the house. I would definitely stay there again.

Able to take my dog. Cons: No internet, Garden was pretty unkept and needed some TLC. Fencing and gate was not too secure for pets.

Tucked away yet accessible to all the facilities, I could walk everywhere. The house was quiet, clean and personable. It felt like I was coming home.

The Little Beach House

The setup was quite good but felt they could have provided more heating ( only one electric heater in the place.) Also whilst we were there a Pest Inspection was carried out and I felt this could have been organised when the house wasn't booked.

Authentic Beach House
stella - 4th April 2018I chose this property for a quiet, 4-night stay because it was tastefully decorated in a simple, easy style. I especially appreciated the surrounding peace when I was in the property. It was clean, well-maintained and it was clear that the comfort of the holidaymaker was the total focus. I didn't need the car as I could walk everywhere. I miss the most comfortable Queen bed mattress and the peace at night, and after 4 nights my inner self was recharged into relaxed mode.

The house is small, comfortable and perfectly decorated for a beach holiday, with lots of extra touches to make it homely and relaxed. Central location, handy to everything, but still quiet and private. I'd love to stay here again, highly recommended.
